Tidbits of American History Series: It's Reigning Redcoats

What really happened on April 1777 when British General Tyron invaded Fairfield County?  The Americans referred to it as the "Burning of Danbury" and the "Battle of Ridgefield".  The British regarded it as brilliant strategy well executed.  Which was it?
