William E. Devlin has been writing about Danbury history for nearly 30 years, and he is a former vice-president of the Danbury Preservation Trust. In that work, Devlin investigated and wrote the history of many Danbury buildings. Devlin teaches at Western Connecticut State University and he teaches social studies at Darien High School, which he reaches each day by train and bicycle. He is the author of "We Crown Them All: An Illustrated History of Danbury."
