The office's goal is to preserve and protect Danbury neighborhoods.</p> <p>The CityLine 311 number gives residents a phone number to call when they have a question or issue with the city. People call to report pot holes, trash issues, unplowed streets, and neighborhood noise, among other things. They call to ask who they should talk to about taxes and government meetings. The UNIT is a group of city officials who respond to complaints about blight and housing, zoning, and health violations. Depending on the complaint, the UNIT may include members of the Health Department, Zoning Enforcement, the Building Department, the police, or other city offices or departments.</p>
