The Ellsworth Avenue School is the city's newest school, having opened its doors to students in September 2009. It…More replaced the nearby Roberts Avenue School that sits in the midst of Western Connecticut State University's midtown campus. Ellsworth Avenue School is a neighborhood elementary school with kindergarten through fifth grades. Staff and students receive the benefits of a new school minus the leaking roof, boiler problems and over-crowding associated with its predecessor. Among the new school benefits are music and art classrooms, a gymnasium and cafeteria.</p> <p> </p>
