Planning and Zoning Department

<p>The department assists the Planning Commission and the Zoning Commission by reviewing all requests for site plans, subdivisions and other developments, including zoning amendments and the rezoning of land. The department is also working on long-range planning projects, including downtown revitalization, zoning amendments to promote historic preservation and amendments to improve parking.</p> <p>All current zoning and subdivision regulations are available to the public on the city's website under the Planning and Zoning Department entry. The long-term goal of the Planning and Zoning Department is to preserve and protect Danbury neighborhoods by monitoring development in accordance with the city's Town Plan of Development.</p>
