The Mayor is the city's chief executive and is responsible for setting the city's goals and agendas for the term of office. The mayor's office supports city administrators while responding to calls by voters and residents of the city. The mayor, in cooperation with the president of the city council, sets the agenda for the council's monthly meetings. The office administrative assistant oversees the mayor's office, along with city projects, staffing and operations, including appointments to boards and commissions. The community services coordinator meets with people who call or visit the office and with employees of city government, while managing Danbury TV on Comcast Channel 24. The executive secretary is responsible for the mayor's schedule, for awards and proclaimations and for managing meetings and appearances. The communications coordinator helps with media, public information and research. The office receptionist is the first person people see who visit the third-floor office.
