Family Literacy Center, Educational Services Center

The Family Literacy Center works with children and adults in a program designed to support children's literacy development. The organization attempts to encourage families to support their children's reading development. This can involve creating play groups for parents and children, a reading readiness camp for first graders and help for incoming kindergarten students. The center works with numerous city groups and agencies to accomplish its goals, including Literacy Volunteers, Danbury Children First, the Family Network of Western Connecticut and CACD.
