Danbury Youth Services

<p>Danbury Youth Services has been a force in Danbury for 41 years, helping at-risk youth learn how to live positive and productive lives. DYS works with city and state agencies, as well as with private companies and the United Way to provide a host of programs, including the GALs (Girls as Leaders) program after school to encourage young women to develop self-confidence and the skills needed to thrive in high school and beyond. Another DYS program is Wheels for Kids, which worked with Canondale, the internationally renown bicycle manufacturer, to refurbish and distribute 200 bicycles to children in need. Counseling for children and families is offered as well as mentoring and literacy help.</p> <p>Danbury Youth Services serves the youth of the Danbury area regardless of that person's ability to pay.</p>
