Individuals, twosomes and foursomes are all welcome. Players will receive an exclusively designed Nike Golf tee-gift and be elegible for other prizes. The Danbury Sports Dome on Shelter Rock Lane is hosting a three-day open house Thursday, Friday and Saturday to give people a chance to see what the sports dome has to offer. People can kick soccer balls, pitch baseballs and generally take the dome for a spin. The hours are noon to 4 p.m. Thursday, 10 to 4 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

On Saturday, the Jai Ho India Festival takes place at the CityCenter green from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., and it is free and open to the public. It's a day of fun, food, art, cultural programs and music.  The Bollywood Concert portion of the event takes place from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on the green. For information contact http://www.iawct.org/.

The Danbury Museum and Historical Society welcomes a great speaker to further the museum's program featuring hometown heroes. We're pleased to welcome the Executive Director and Curator of the New York City Fire Department, Damon Campagna, for a presentation about the history of the New York City Fire Department. This free program, starting at 2 p.m., is part of our Hometown Heroes Exhibit honoring Danbury's Police & Fire Departments, open Tuesdays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Campagna will share stories, history and images of the NYC Fire Department from the collections of the museum.
