The Danbury Public Library and the Automobile Association of America is offering a driving refresher course Tuesday from noon to 4 p.m. that may save people money. Take the AAA Driver Improvement Program to relearn the basics of defensive driving and learn current driving practices. Danbury's Project Homeless Connect takes place starting at 9 a.m. Friday with volunteers offering referrals, guidance, information and services to people who are homeless or in need. The day-long event in its seventh year takes place at the Bill Williams Gymnasium, Osborne Street, at Western Connecticut State University. The annual event is co-sponsored by the Greater Danbury Continum of Care and the Danbury Housing Partnership with the help of numerous other service organizations and people.
