If you want to lose weight and get in shape you must take control of your time. The only time you have any control over is right now!
This is something I always emphasise with my clients at Olympus Persoanl Training. NOW is the only time you have any control over. There is nothing you can do about yesterday, and you can’t do anything about tomorrow. NOW is the only time you have any control over.
If you want to get in shape and lose weight you must take control of the present time.
Here is a question to ask yourself all day that would help you take control:
“What small thing can I do right now that would move me closer to my fitness goal?”
Keep asking yourself this question. Place yellow stickers on your mirror in your bathroom, in your office, in your car, any place that would serve as a reminder.
Here are some possible answers to that question:
- I have a few minutes free right now; let me take a 5 minute walk.
- Leave some food on your plate.
- Park your car a little bit farther from the door.
- Take the stairs.
- Skip dessert.
- Skip an unnecessary snack.
- Do few crunches
- Have one less drink
- Go up and down the stair few times
- Eat slower
Never underestimate the power of small actions. Small actions done consistently add up to big results.
The key is to get yourself into the habit of asking this question throughout the day, and trust me, the answers will start coming!
