Seventh Annual Still River Cleanup

On Saturday May 14, 2011 The Seventh Annual Still River Waterway and Greenway Cleanup will take place starting at 8 am at Larsen’s Farm on Junction Road in Brookfield, Connecticut. The Still River Cleanup is one of the largest single volunteer efforts in Fairfield County. Over the last six years we have 144,000 pounds of trash, 250 tires, and filled - twelve 10 Yard Dumpsters. This year the cleanup will focus entirely on the Brookfield and part of the New Milford section of the greenway and waterway. Volunteers will work on collecting and removing trash and other debris along the way.  Volunteers will be fed lunch. Please contact us by May 2, 2011

The event is sponsored by the Still River Alliance, Connecticut Water Trails Association, Housatonic Valley River Trail, Great American Cleanup Campaign and Keep America Beautiful Campaign.
