Danbury's Brazilians Take to the Steets After Monday World Cup Win

Brazil advances while the US hangs on.

Danbury has a significant Brazilian population and they’ve been celebrating right along with their countrymen as Brazil continues its strong showing in the 2014 World Cup.

The video above, posted to YouTube by user Soccer Ball Car, shows a number of Brazil fans cheering in the streets of Danbury after Monday’s 4-1 win against Cameroon.

The win put Brazil at 2-1-0 for the tournament, tied with Mexico in second place with seven points overall. The Netherlands is currently in first with a perfect record, 3-0-0, and nine points.

Brazil faces Chile (2-0-1) next on Saturday.

The American team is further behind, with a record of 1-1-0 after Portugal (0-1-1) tied up the game on Sunday in the final seconds of extra time. USA faces Germany (1-1-0) on Thursday.
