Guest bartender and local celebrity EJ Harrison will be pouring drinks at Two Steps Downtown Grille. Harrison played basketball for Danbury High School and graduated in 1995. At UCONN, his team won the national basketball championship. Today he is a professional ball player and plays overseas as well as in the US. He also volunteers with Hatters Hoop Camp. SOS organizer Lorraine Lamaral said, “He really gives back to the community, which is really great.

“Two Steps will be giving us 10% of total bar bill. They will also be donating all tips from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m , and if you mention you are there for Save Our Sports, 20% of the dinner checks will be donated. We will be selling t-shirts for $10, donated by Vision Designs, and we will also be selling raffle tickets for a wide screen TV, that will be raffled on August 15th.”

“On August 12, the First and Ten Sports Bar and Grill in Brookfield will be holding an event and a raffle for vacation to Hawaii. They pack them in there, we frequent them often, and they will also be donating proceeds. We will be selling raffle tickets,” said Lamaral.
