Celebrating Earth Day Through Recycling: Danbury, CT 

     Once Upon A Child of Danbury is proud to join the Broadview Middle School of Danbury's 6th Grade Science Department to raise awareness about recycling.  Once Upon A Child stores buy and sell gently-used children's clothing and merchandise. During the week of April 4th-8th, students will be asked to recycle their outgrown clothing for a cause.  They will sell their outgrown jeans, t-shirts, dresses and more to Once Upon A Child of Danbury.  The monies raised will go directly to the 6th Grade Science Department for supplies/materials, special projects and field trips. 

     Diana and Mike Maunsell, owners of Once Upon A Child are excited about the opportunity to help raise funds for such an important cause.  “We are a local business and are committed to helping our community.  In this instance, we are helping these teachers raise funds to provide them with more tools to enrich the lives of their students.  Dallas Moore, 6th Grade science teacher at Broadview Middle School is excited as well about this partnership, “" I am extremely pleased to have a partnership with Once Upon a Child. It is a well-known store of my students and they are excited that it has chosen to support their school with materials, especially hands-on lab activities...It is always great when businesses within our community reach out to support our students through donations. We have some special activities planned for the spring in our classroom. Once Upon A Child has truly helped to enhance our science classrooms at Broadview Middle School and I hope our relationship continues for years to come."
