Danbury Schools on Half Day Schedule

Danbury Schools are fully anticipating the arrival of the winter storm Wednesday afternoon, so it is a half day of school.

Danbury Schools are on a half day schedule today. Expect your children home early. The high school gets out at about 10:30 a.m., and the middle schools get out at about 11:10 a.m. The elementary schools get out at either 11:50 p.m. for the early schools or 12:20 p.m. for the late schools. Our club meets at a Danbury school tomorrow night (Thurs). What is the best way for me to keep track of whether the schools will be closed in the evening, so I can notify people?

You have the wrong times. The schools are following weather related early dismissals. Check the website for times

Here is the message from the school with the correct times: "Hello, this is a message from Dr. Pascarella, Superintendent of the Danbury Schools. Due to expected weather conditions and safety concerns, today the Danbury Schools will be following the WEATHER EMERGENCY EARLY DISMISSAL schedule. The half day afternoon kindergarten classes and the A.M. and P.M. preschool special education classes are cancelled. The extended learning program is also cancelled. Thank you. Repeat A.M. and P.M. preschool special education classes are cancelled. High School will be dismiss at 10:30 Middle Schools will be dismiss at 11:10 Early elementary Schools will be dismiss at 11:50, including AM kindergarten students Late elementary Schools will be dismiss at 12:20, including AM kindergarten students."
