Celebrate My Drive: VoteDanbury.Com

Danbury High School is in a contest, and it needs your help.

The goal is to spread the word about safe driving and use online votes by people in Danbury to both help the school win a $100,000 grant to promote safe driving and to win a concert in Danbury by Grammy Award Winner Kelly Clarkson.

Vote for safe driving at www.votedanbury.com, answer a few questions, and you're helping the students of Danbury High School earn up to $100,000 for the school.

The nationwide contest is sponsored by State Farm, and Danbury High School students will be working at numerous locations this week to get as many votes as they can through votedanbury.com.

"It's a very powerful message," said Nick Mortara, a senior, member of DECA and a leader of the contest. Others include Najmah James, also a senior, and Kate Shannon, the DECA secretary.

The students have recorded radio messages, and they will be staking out several important Danbury locations, including the Danbury Fair mall and the Loew's theaters on the weekends, looking to encourage people to vote once a day for the next week.
