In honor of his 56th birthday this year, local attorney Lawrence Riefberg set a goal to raise $56,000 for Regional Hospice and Home Care by shaving his head and selling tee signs for the Golf Classic.  The “Hair for Hospice” breakfast event occurred on Monday March 31, 2014 at 7:30 am at the Amber Room in Danbury, CT.  The Hair for Hospice breakfast is a kick off to this year’s Clancy Relocation and Logistics Golf Classic to benefit Regional Hospice and Home Care, to be held on August 25, 2014 at the Ridgewood Country Club in Danbury, CT.

Riefberg, the chairman of the Clancy Golf Classic and a managing partner with Riefberg, Smart, Donohue and NeJame, asked for various levels of donations including the purchase of a tee sign for the Golf Classic and a $5,600 donation to join the “Breakfast Club”.  Breakfast Club supporters of “Hair for Hospice” include American International Relocation Solutions, Mercedes Benz of Danbury, Raymond James Financial, Odyssey Logistics and Joseph Putnam owner of The Amber Room, Putnam Automotive and Putnam Self Storage. Other supporters include Dawn’s Pizzazz (which will also provide “hair styling” service to Riefberg), Broadview Networks who held a live webcast for those who could not attend and Clancy Relocation and Logistics naming sponsor of the Golf Classic. A very special thank you to Kevin Woods from SK Stitchart in providing a custom Regional Hospice baseball cap for Riefberg to wear after the mane event.

Riefberg has raised over $64,000 towards his $56,000 goal.  Approximately 300 people have committed to attend the event with an additional 60 people contributing with a donation.  Riefberg, a long-time supporter of Regional Hospice and Home Care, plans to raise more than $250,000 for the organization this year at events including “Hair for Hospice” breakfast, the Clancy Relocation and Logistics Golf Classic and a Wine Dinner scheduled for the fall.
