Letter to the Editor: Tribute to Newtown
Bethel First Selectman Matt Knickerbocker sent in this letter encouraging people to attend the Tribute to Newtown at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the O'Neill Center, Western Connecticut State University's westside campus.
The Mayors and First Selectmen of Northern Fairfield County will host a "Tribute to Newtown", a very special event tomorrow evening, Wednesday, December 19th at the O'Neill Center at the westside campus of Western Connecticut University.
All residents of the greater Danbury area and surrounding towns are invited to attend to commemorate the lives tragically lost and help our region to begin the process of moving forward, despite the deep sadness we feel.
The evening will feature musical performances and remarks by area leaders, including Dr. James Schmotter, President of Western Connecticut University.
I invite all Bethel residents to attend this special and uplifting event tomorrow evening.
