Danbury Woman Wins $20,000 in the $1,000,000 Super Draw

A Danbury woman won $20,000 for the second time in one of the state's Super Draw lotteries. What follows is a Connecticut Lottery press release.

While watching the 4 o’clock news on January 1, Heather Cianciullo of Danbury eagerly awaited the big reveal of the CT Lottery’s “New Year’s $1,000,000 Super Draw” winning numbers.  Cianciullo missed the top prize match, but held one of ten Super Draw tickets sold with a second-prize number match worth $20,000—a feat she has accomplished twice to date in a CT Lottery “Super Draw” drawing.

“I saw the top prize number and knew I didn’t have a match.  That’s when I went to the lottery’s website to look at the rest of the numbers.  I entered my number (108642) in the checker online and it came back as a $20,000 winner.  I couldn’t believe it—I won again!” said Cianciullo, who was also a $20,000 prize winner in the “4th of July $1,000,000 Super Draw” drawing.

The single New Year’s $1,000,000 Super Draw top prize ticket number selected was 111163.  The $1,000,000 winner has yet to come forward to claim their prize and the CT Lottery encourages all ticket holders to check their tickets carefully.

Cianciullo arrived at Lottery headquarters in Rocky Hill today to accept a prize check for $13,663 (value after taxes).  Cianciullo’s winning Super Draw ticket was purchased at Food Bag, located at 54 S. Broad Street in Meriden.

A complete list of all 1,311 winning ticket numbers is available on the CT Lottery web site (ctlottery.org) by prize category in ascending order.  The site includes a “search” function that allows players to enter their six-digit ticket numbers and receive a response indicating if the ticket holds a winning combination.  Ticket numbers must be in “exact order” drawn to win.  Super Draw tickets can also be scanned in a lottery Ticket Checker at any lottery retailer location.

Draw tickets expire 180 days from their draw date.  Tickets for New Year’s $1,000,000 Super Draw will expire on June 30, 2013.

The $1,000,000 top prize and $20,000 second-tier prizes must be claimed by presenting a winning ticket at CT Lottery headquarters, 777 Brook Street, Rocky Hill.  The game’s fifty $1,000 prizes can be claimed at High-Tier Claim Centers and $100 prizes can be claimed at any CT Lottery retailer.
