Danbury is experiencing localized flooding, Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton said in a citywide robo-call, and the Taste of Danbury was canceled for today. It will open tomorrow, as scheduled.
Boughton said a second wave of tunderstorms is expected and Danbury is under a tornado watch issued by the National Weather Service.
Boughton said there is local flooding, and travel can be difficult. CL&P is reporting 199 people without power in Danbury, as of 2 p.m. As of 2 p.m., it is not raining in Danbury, but thunder can be heard in the distance.
