Danbury Honors the 9/11 Victims

Danbury, like most towns near New York City, honored the memory of those who died and those who worked so hard on Sept. 11, 2001, twelve years ago Wednesday.

Robyn Higley and Amanda Higley, who lost their father on 9/11, took turns saying the pledge of allegiance and singing God Bless America during the ceremony. Erick Sanchez, a Western Connecticut State University vocal artist, sang the National Anthem, and the Danbury Police Department Honor Guard and the Danbury Council of Veterans conducted the trooping of the colors.
