Chili Winter Warm-Up Sunday 1-4 p.m.

The CityCenter/Danbury Westerners 4th Annual Chili Winter Warm-Up is on for Sunday, from 1 to 4 p.m.

The Danbury Westerners in conjunction with City Center Danbury, the Danbury Ice Arena and Kicks 105.5 FM are proud to once again offer the “4th Annual Chili Winter Warm-Up” at Danbury Arena on Sunday from 1:00pm - 4:00pm. This year the Hot Stuff Title sponsors are Crown Point at the Reserve and Fairfield County Bank.

The Chili Winter Warm-Up is a huge chance for people to try roughly 60 chilis from people, restaurants, schools and businesses in the area. The cost is $5.00 a person or $15 a family which includes the discounted skating for those 12 and under.

Competitors without Health Department-inspected kitchend were working in approved kitchens Saturday before refrigerating the chili Saturday night. It arrives at the Danbury Ice Arena at about noon, so it can be judged by 12:30 p.m. The public arrives for what is essentially an all-you-can taste chili event from 1 to 4 p.m. Each cook will give people a tiny sample cup and a spoon. People can probably make 60 stops twice in three hours, not able to eat again until probably Tuesday.
