Two Nabbed in DUI Enforcement
Danbury Police charged two men with driving under the influence during a DUI enforcement patrol Monday shortly after midnight.
Danbury Police on DUI Enforcement Patrol charged Armando Guaillazaca, 36, Wildman Street, Danbury, with driving under the influence and failure to drive right at about 1:15 a.m. Monday. Police said they saw a Honda driving east on Division Street in the westbound lane. The driver, who smelled of alcohol, failed a field sobriety test, and he was held on a $1,000 bond for an appearance in Danbury Superior Court Tuesday.
About thirty minutes earlier, the DUI Enforcement Patrol found a Toyota Celica parked in the middle of White Street near the Holiday Diner. The driver smelled of alcohol and he had a difficult time standing. Police said he could not perform a field sobriety test. Police charged Angel Homero Palez, 49, Hakim Street Extension, Danbury, with driving under the influence, failure to drive right and driving without a license. Police held him on a $5,000 bond for an appearance in Danbury Superior Court Tuesday.
