Two Danbury Residents, Others Charged in New York With DWI

New York State Troopers charged over a dozen motorists with drunken driving or driving under the influence of drugs, Lohud.com reported Monday. Two of the motorists who were arrested are Danbury residents.

Recent traffic stops and investigations in the Lower Hudson Valley led state police to the arrest of the following motorists:

Southeast:

Ryan M. Gallagher, 24, of Danbury, Conn., was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated about 3:45 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 684 in Southeast.

Jessica N. Martinez, 22, of Danbury, Conn., was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated about 5 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 684 in Southeast.

Yorktown:

George Taylor, 73, of Yorktown was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated about 12:35 a.m. Sunday on the Taconic State Parkway in Yorktown.

Christopher Dellarocca, 51, of Garnerville was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated about 10:15 p.m. Saturday on the Bear Mountain Parkway Extension in Yorktown.

Jan Myslinski, 60, of Shrub Oak was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated about 10:30 p.m. Saturday on the Bear Mountain Parkway Extension in Yorktown.

Cortland:

Rogers Singleton, 32, of Cortlandt was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated about 9:05 p.m. Friday on the Bear Mountain Parkway in Cortlandt.

Briarcliff:

Gale Grasso Kelleher, 64, of Briarcliff was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated about 11:30 p.m. Friday on Miller Hill Road in East Fishkill.

Mount Pleasant:

Jurgen K. Wessely, 54, of Garrison was charged with felony driving while intoxicated about 9:50 p.m. Friday on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Mount Pleasant.

Ossining:

Daniel J. Failla, 29, of Ossining was charged with two misdemeanors; operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was arrested about 3:40 p.m. Tuesday on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Greenburgh.

According to the State of New York Department of Motor Vehicle's website, a driver is charged with Driving While Intoxicated when he or she has a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) of .08 or higher, or other evidence of intoxication. For drivers of commercial motor vehicles the limit is .04 BAC or other evidence of intoxication
