Troopers Nab 2 Danburians on Drunken Driving Charges

The New York State Police provided the following information. It does not indicate a conviction.

Officials from the East Fishkill and of the New York State Police charged two Danbury residents with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated over the weekend:

  • Police stopped the first defendant, a 29-year-old male around 4 a.m. Sunday on eastbound Interstate 84 in Southeast. He was operating a Ford F150, for which a year was unavailable, and allegedly driving on the shoulder of the road. His blood-alcohol level was reportedly 0.09 percent. The legal limit is 0.08. Police released the defendant pending a July 24 appearance in Southeast Justice Court. 
  • Troopers stopped the second defendant, a 26-year-old male, around 2:30 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Routes 22 and 312 in Southeast. He was driving a 2007 Dodge Nitro, which was missing a license plate lamp, according to police. His blood-alcohol level was allegedly 0.13 percent. Officials released the defendant. He is due in Southeast Justice Court on the same date.
