Tractor Trailer Off Road Near Exit 3 on 84 East

Roads are slick throughout the state Tuesday afternoon.

Reports of a tractor-trailer running off the road on I-84 East just past exit 3 around 1:40 p.m. Tuesday urged drivers to use caution on the highways.

According to the reports, the truck drove off the highway and into an overhead road sign.

Danbury police and fire departments are at the scene, but there is no information yet on the condition of the driver.

Several reports from across the state tell of roads and portions of highways being shut down due to motor vehicle accidents — including a possible fatal accident closing Route 9 in Berlin — as sleet and wet, heavy snow continues to fall on and off throughout the day.
