Shots Fired on Briar Ridge Road

Danbury Police help Ridgefield with shots fired in residential area on Briar Ridge Road.

Danbury police were called to Briar Ridge Road by the Ridgefield Police Department at 1:55 a.m. Tuesday. Ridgefield police had pulled over a car and thought the people inside might be the same people who fired shots in the area. This neighborhood straddles the town line between Ridgefield and Danbury. Danbury police responded to the call for help and found gun shots had been fired on the Danbury side of the line. Officers located four shell casings. No weapon was found in the vehicle, but police searched the area and found a 9mm handgun thrown into a snow bank near the motor vehicle stop. Police charged Nelson Rosa, 28, Backus Avenue, Danbury, with weapon in a motor vehicle and possession of narcotics (cocaine.) Felipe Rosa, 23, Division Street, Danbury, was charged with weapon in a motor vehicle. Althenise Rosa, 22, Backus Avenue, Danbury, was charged with weapon in a motor vehicle and possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana. Jeffrey Bueno, 26, of Moss Avenue, Danbury, was charged with weapon in a motor vehicle. All four people were held on $25,000 bonds.
