UPDATE: Shots Fired into Hayestown Road Home

Danbury Police issued the following statement Monday. Further details were released Monday afternoon.

Danbury Police are investigating shots fired into a house on Hayestown Road Sunday night at about 11 p.m.

 Upon investigating the report, police said several shots were fired into the home with one striking the living room couch and kitchen sink. Occupants were in the home at the time.

Danbury Police Detective and Spokesman Thomas Michael said no one was injured in the attack.

A silver colored Land Rover was seen leaving the area.

Michael said the homeowner told police he had no idea of why he was targeted.
