Court documents show that Bencosme was arrested by Danbury police just 10 days before the break in for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, failure to wear face protection on a motorcycle and making improper turns, as well as interfering with an officer by resisting arrest. He has pled “not guilty” to those charges and the case is still in pre-trial hearings.

Court records also show that Bencosme has been convicted of several misdemeanors since 2007 and was sentenced to 60 days imprisonment in 2008 on disorderly conduct charges while on probation.
