Ridgefield Police responding to a two-car accident at about 1 a.m. Sunday on the Ethan Allen Highway charged William Quiroga, 21, Worden Street, Danbury, with driving under the influence. Police said Quiroga swerved over the yellow center line and struck an on-coming car head-on. In addition to DUI, Quiroga was also charged with driving without a license and failure to drive right. No injuries were reported in the accident.
