Newtown Road Burglar Suspect Charged

The following information was provided by the Danbury Police Department. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted in court.

Robert Brown, 40, of Jeanette Drive, Danbury, was charged with third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, larceny, two counts of second-degree criminal mischief, and he was held on a $25,000 bond after his arrest. Brown was charged at about 8:54 a.m. Monday.

In Danbury Superior Court Tuesday, Brown's bond was reset to $5,000. During the court proceeding, it was revealed Brown threw a rock through the window of the Latin Deli on Newtown Road and stole cash.
