New York State Police: DUI

The following information was provided by the New York State Police to Southeast-Brewster Patch. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted in court.

New York State Police officials from the  and Stormville barracks recently charged the following individual.

Edgar Y. Samaniego, 28, of Danbury, was stopped at about 2 a.m. Saturday. Police stopped Samaniego, who was operating a 1998 Honda Civic, on I-84 westbound in Southeast for speeding. Troopers charged him with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and released the defendant after he posted $250 station bail. Authorities say his blood-alcohol content was 0.11. The legal limit is 0.08. Samaniego is due in Southeast Justice Court May 3.
