Four Charged at ACE after Basketball Court Fight

Four people where charged with breach of peace at the Alternative Center for Excellence Thursday in Danbury.

Danbury police charged four people after a fight reported at the Alternative Center for Excellence on Locust Avenue. Police said a fight broke out during a lunch/recess basketball game. Elvis Novas, 18, and a juvenile exchanged a punch each and then teachers broke up the fight and walked them inside the school. While those two people were escorted into the school, Vincent Dibenetto, 18, and Richard Allen, 19, also fought. Police charged Dibenedetto with breach of peace. Allen was charged with breach of peace. Both Allen and Dibenedetto are scheduled to answer these charges in Danbury Superior Court on Feb. 28. Novas was charged with breach of peace and given a Feb. 28 court date. The juvenile was charged with breach of peace and given a juvenile summons and released to his mother.
