Driver in Fatal Charged Seven Times

Danbury Police charged Robert Stevenson in the fatal accident on May 18 that killed Davon Lasane of Danbury.

After investigating a fatal accident at the Danbury Fair Mall ring road on May 21, officers from the Traffic Division charged Robert Stevenson, 19, Danbury, with seven motor vehicle offenses. Stevenson was charged with misconduct with a motor vehicle, operation of a motor-vehicle having an elevated blood alcohol, reckless driving, reckless endangerment, failure to insure private motor-vehicle, operating without a license subsequent offense, and misuse of marker plate. Stevenson was held on $100,000 bond. The arrest stemmed from a motor-vehicle crash that occurred on May 18 at approximately 2:19 p.m. Robert Stevenson was operating his vehicle on Ring Road in Danbury when he lost control and crashed. Stevenson's passenger Davon Lasane, 21, of Danbury, was transported to Danbury Hospital and succumbed to his injuries sustained in the collision. Danbury Police charged Stevenson at about 2:08 p.m. May 28.
