This article was written by Liz Young.

A Danbury woman was charged with driving while intoxicated in Wilton July 8 after a hit and run, according to police.

Heather Rogalski, 52, of 24 Saddle Rock Road, was involved in a hit and run accident on Nod and Olmstead Hill Road at about 1:30 p.m. where she reportedly crossed the yellow line and swiped another vehicle, Wilton police said.
Her car, a 2008 Toyota Camry, was located traveling south on Danbury Road about 10 minutes later after officers received a report of a vehicle driving erratically, police said.

Rogalski failed a field sobriety test and was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to drive in the proper lane and evading responsibility. She was released on a promise to appear and her court date is scheduled for July 18.

This information was provided by the Wilton Police Department. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted in court.
