Danbury Police charged a Danbury man with sale of illegal drugs, two counts of possession of narcotics, narcotics with intent to sell more than one ounce and crack cocaine with intent to sell over half a gram.
Police said they were watching the house of Samuel Rivera, 47, of Austin Street, Danbury, when they saw what they considered to be a drug sale. At the same time the Special Investigations Division executed a search warrant of Rivera, and found him to be in possession of 2.26 ounces of cocaine, and 14.4 grams of crack cocaine. Police said after witnessing what they thought to be a drug transaction, they also stopped the buyer, Joseph Vingo, 40, who was charged with drug possession.
Rivera was released on a $50,000 bond.
