Danbury Police: Stolen Payloader, Xanax

The following information about a stolen payloader and Xanax was provided by the Danbury Police Department. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted in court.

Danbury Police received a report at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday that a Kawasaki payloader worth $45,000 with a snow plow attachment on the front had been stolen from the back parking area of Bob's Store, 114 Federal Road. That afternoon, police received a tip saying a payloader was parked behind a house at 58 Davis St. Police saw a man drive from that house, and they followed and questioned him. Kyle Valdes, 27, told police he takes the drug Xanax and sometimes he has trouble remembering things. He said he woke up one morning, and the payloader was in his back yard. He was charged with first-degree larceny and was held on a $25,000 bond for court Thursday.
