Danbury Police: Stabbing Suspect Caught

Danbury Police stopped a wanted man driving in Danbury Friday, and served him with his warrant.

Danbury Police Detectives saw Gilberto-Jose Urena driving on Davis Street Friday at about 5:35 p.m., and they stopped him. Danbury had a warrant for Urena charging him with a stabbing at E&M Auto Repair, Maple Avenue, dating back to Sept. 12, 2012.

Urena was charged with first-degree assault and he was held on a $150,000 bond before he made bond and was released for a date in Danbury Superior Court of Feb. 6.

This information was provided by the Danbury Police Department. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted in court.
