Danbury Police Solve Two Armed Robberies
Danbury Detectives close two May armed robberies with an arrest.
Danbury Police Detectives charged Alvin Williams, 47, Locust Avenue, Danbury, with two counts of first-degree robbery Tuesday. Police said Williams was charged on a warrant for the May 18 knife-point robbery of the Subway Sandwich Shop, 317 Main St., and the May 19 robbery of Citgo Gas Station, 300 White St., A knife was used in that robbery as well as at Subway. Williams was held on a $100,000 bond.
This information was provided by the Danbury Police Department. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted in court.
