Danbury Police: Refuses to Pay for Drinks

A Danbury man was charged with larceny after failing to pay for three drinks.

Danbury Police were called to Coyote Maverick at 9:45 p.m. Monday for a disturbance. The bartender identified Ryan Stiles, 30, of Danbury, as the customer who ordered three drinks and then refused to pay after he was cut off. Stiles attempted to pay for the drinks with three separate credit cards that were declined. He then started yelling and screaming and the bartender refused to pay. When officers asked him to pay, he again refused. Stiles asked officers to spot him $27. He was charged with sixth-degree larceny and breach of the peace. Stiles was released on a written promise to appear and given a Danbury Superior Court appearance on March 11.
