Danbury Police: Reckless Endangerment (Golf Club)

Danbury police charged a man with using a golf club in a fight at 2 a.m. Saturday on White Street. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted in court.

Danbury Police working the after hours shift on Ives Street witnessed an on-going argument between a group of men near the corner of Ives and White Streets Saturday at about 1:55 a.m. Police warned the men to stop the argument and walk away. Police said the men later took up the argument nearby at Lee Hartel Drive and White. When police caught up with the group, they saw Antwaun Curry, 26 of Hager Street in Danbury swinging a golf club at the legs of some of the men as the men split up and ran from the police. Police found Curry hiding under a car and then found the golf club nearby. Curry was charged with breach of peace and second-degree reckless endangerment.
