Danbury Police: Medical Assist leads to Heroin

Medical assist turns up heroin. The following information was provided by the Danbury Police Department. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted.

Danbury Police were called on a medical assist request to State Street Thursday at about 1:30 a.m., where they found Thomas Sokol, 44 unconscious. Police found 11 packets of heroin on his person. Police charged him with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of narcotics near a school zone. He was held on a $10,00 bond for a scheduled appearance in Danburuy Superior Court Thursday.
