Danbury Police: Marijuana, Narcotics, Harassment

Danbury Police charged one city man with attempting to sell marijuana near a school, a second with possession of narcotics and a third with harassment.

The Danbury Police Department's Special Investigations Division charged Jose L. Pacheco, 26, City Streets, Danbury, with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of marijuana with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school. Pacheco was released on a $50,000 bond. This is how the case unfolded, according to a Danbury Police Department press release.

          "As a result of a several month long investigation regarding the illegal sales of marijuana, search and seizure warrants were issued by the CT Superior Court which authorized the search of Jose Pacheco and his vehicle.

    On 12/13/2012, at about 2:41 p.m., members of the Danbury Police Department Special Investigations Division executed search and seizure warrant for the person of Jose Pacheco.  The warrant was executed at 96 E. Liberty, a location he frequents and is suspected to have been selling the marijuana from.  He was seized by investigators after he was seen driving into the driveway at that location and parking.  The search revealed that Jose Pacheco was in possession of a substantial quantity of marijuana that was packaged for sale.

     Based on the findings of the search and seizure warrant, Jose Pacheco was placed under arrest and transported to the Danbury Police Department where he is currently being held for a $50,000 bond."

In an unrelated case, Danbury Police charged Henry Luna, 20, Catherine Street, Danbury, with second-degree harassment following an incident in Danbury Thursday at about 10:30 a.m. Luna was held on a $10,000 bond for an appearance in Danbury Superior Court Friday.

In an unrelated case, Kirk Marshall Jr., 25, Spring Street, Danbury, was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia at about 8 p.m. Thursday. His bond and court date were not available Friday morning at 7:30 a.m. The background to this case is as follows, according to a Danbury Police Department press release.

On Thursday at approximately 8:74 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Beaver Street for a suspicious male. Upon their arrival they located Kirk Marshall Jr., 25, 11 Spring St., Danbury, on the porch of the complaintants' house going through garbage bags. 
Upon speaking with Marshall, officers checked his name through NCIC and found that he had an active warrant out of Bristol. Marshall was taken into custody and a search incident to his arrest was conducted. In Marshall's pants pocket were two  folds with a white powdery substance inside which field tested positive for heroin. Marshall also had two syringes in his pocket as well. Marshall was charged with 21a-279(a) Possession of Narcotics and 21a-267(a) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Marshall was given a $10,000 bond and remains in custody. Bristol Police Department was notified of Marshall in custody at Danbury Police Department.
