Danbury Police Log: Narcotics, Robbery

The following information was provided by the Danbury Police Department. A person charged with a crime is not guilty until having been convicted in court.

Danbury Police released Andrew Slocum, 27, of New Milford, on a domestic disturbance charge at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, and arrested him 13 minutes later after finding him in possession of a controlled substance.

Police said Slocum was released at 8:30 p.m. on bond, and then officers working near Mill Plain Road saw a car without a license plate drive into the Mill Ridge housing complex. lost Slocum's car in Mill Ridge, but a few minutes later they found him and stopped him for the license plate problem. He was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. He was within 1,500 feet of a school when this happened at 8:43 p.m. Thursday. Slocum was held on a $5,000 bond for arraignment in Danbury Superior Court Friday.

In an unrelated incident, Danbury Police charged Jim Crawford, 40, City Streets, Danbury, with robbery and sixth degree larceny following an incident at 3 a.m. Friday. Crawford was held on a $25,000 bond for arraignment Friday.
