Danbury Police, Kicked Out the Cruiser Window, Acting Erratic

The following information was provided by the Danbury Police Department. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted in court.

At about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, Danbury police were called to a disturbance on Osborne Street. Upon arrival, police said they found Marissa Palumbo, 21, of Terry Drive, Danbury, hiding under a car parked in the road. Police said she was acting erratic, she became combative, and kicked one officer in the leg. Officers tazed Palumbo because she was a danger to herself and to officers. After putting her in the back seat of a patrol car, she kicked out a rear door window. Police took her to Danbury Hospital where she was treated and released for minor injuries.

She was charged with breach of peace, first-degree criminal mischief, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and interfering with an officer. She was held on a $10,000 bond for arraignment Wednesday.
