Danbury Police: DUI, DUI

Danbury Police saw a car driving very slowly on White Street at 12:57 a.m. Wednesday and then watched the car make a very wide right turn onto Fifth Avenue, a turn that put it in the lane of on-coming cars. Police pulled over the driver, Jorge Lopez, 32, who failed the field sobriety tests. He was charged with driving under the influrence, failure to drive right and operating a motor vehicle without a license. He was held on a $500 bond.

Danbury Police pulled over a car at 8:49 p.m. Tuesday after they saw it turn onto Balmforth Avenue by crossing into oncoming traffic. Police said the driver, Cesar Minchala, 29, of Danbury, failed the Standarized Field Sobriety Tests and was charged with driving under the influence, operating without a license, failure to drive right, failure to drive in a proper lane and making an improper turn.
Minchala was released on a $2,500 bond and was given a court date of Nov. 18.
