Danbury Police: DUI, Assault, BOP

The following information was provided by the Danbury Police Department. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted in court.

Following a two-car accident, Danbury Police charged Pedro Zhizhpon, 32, of Rowan Street, Danbury, with operating a motor vehicle without a license, driving under the influence and failure to maintain the proper lane after an accident on Osborne Street near Balmforth at about 9:45 a.m. Tuesday. Zhizhpon was held on an ICE detainer and a $1,000 bond.

Danbury Police charged James Houde, 49, New Street, with third-degree assault and breach of peace after a fight on Kennedy Avenue at the bus depot. Houde was held on a $5,000 bond. He is scheduled to answer this charge in Danbury Superior Court on Wednesday.
