Danbury Police: DUI

Danbury Police charged a Danbury man with driving under the influence after receiving a tip about an erratic driver.

A caller warned police a car was driving all over the road nearly hitting another car on Tamarack Avenue at 7:45 p.m. Thursday. Police found the car and stopped it on Glenn Road. Police said the driver, Angel Silva, 33, of Danbury, had glassy eyes and he smelled of alcohol. Silva failed all three field sobriety tests. He was charged with driving under the influence, driving without a license and failure to drive right. He was held on a $500 bond.

This information was provided by the Danbury Police Department. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted in court.
