Danbury Police: Domestic

Danbury Police charged Dashon Dillard, 23, of city streets, at about 7 p.m. Thursday, with third-degree assault and breach of peace following a domestic dispute that started in the Danbury Fair mall parking lot and ended up at a gas station. Police said Dillard and a companion argued over money at the mall and continued the arguement at a Mill Plain Road gas station. A fight arose, and police said a bystander hit him with a tire iron to break up the fight. The bystander fled, Dillard fled and police arrived. Police found Dillard shortly after, and charged him with third-degree assault and breach of peace. Once in custody, police realized he had an outstanding warrant for violation of probation. He was held on a combination of $60,000 in bonds. He was arraigned in Danbury Superior Courtr on Friday.

This information was provided by the Danbury Police Department. A person charged with a crime is innocent until having been convicted in court.
